Tournament Information:
• Date March 15 - 19, 2012

Place : Cozmo Bowling Center -
Salmiya Center – 16 lanes
Entry Fee : US$ 1,000 ( One Thousand
US Dollars), including the T-shirt
of the championship.
Format:
• Round 1 - All bowlers play 15
games qualifying in 3 blocks of 5
games (5 games per day).
• The Top 38 bowlers will qualify
for the 2nd round as follows:
o Top 6 – ranked 1 to 6
o Highest Kuwaiti – rank 7
o Next 27 qualifiers – rank 8 to 34
o Next highest 4 Kuwaitis – rank 35
to 38
All pinfalls then dropped.
• Round 2 – Qualifiers from Round 1
ranked 23 – 38 (16 bowlers) will
bowl 6 games and the top 8 scores
scratch will advance to the Round 3
• Round 3 – Qualifiers from Round 1
ranked 15 – 22 plus the 8 qualifiers
from round 2 (16 bowlers) will bowl
6 games. The top 9 scores scratch
will advance to the Round 4
• Round 4 - Qualifiers from Round 1
ranked 8 – 14 plus the 9 qualifiers
from Round 3 (16 bowlers) will bowl
6 games. The top 8 scores scratch
will advance to Round 5
• Round 5 – Qualifiers from Round 1
ranked 1 – 7 plus the 8 qualifiers
from Round 4 will play 4 games. (3
bowlers on one pair of lanes) Scores
from Round 5 will be carried over to
the Modified Matchplay Round
• Modified Matchplay Round – Bowlers
will play 7 games modified matchplay
and one game position round with
bonus with 3 bowlers on each pair of
lanes. Winner of each match on a
pair of lanes will receive 20 bonus
pins while the 2nd place will
receive 10 bonus pins.
• The top 5 bowlers after match play
will contest a stepladder final.
• The top qualifier has the right of
re-challenge should he/she lose
their first match.
• Handicap for women is 5 per game.
• In case of ties in Round 1 – 4,
the bowler with the higher last game
will prevail. If there is still a
tie, the bowler with the higher 2nd
to the last game will prevail and so
on.
• In case of tie in the Modified
Matchplay for 1st place, 15 bonus
points will be given. In case of tie
for the 2nd place, 5 bonus points
will be given.
• In the event there are less than
128 bowlers participating, there
will be only 4 squads per day
bowling 6 games per squad.
